Product Information High Temperature Silicone P Extrusion – 20mm x 8mm x 10m Our high temperature silicone p extrusion 20mm x 8mm otherwise known as “P profile” or “P seal” is a highly versatile product. It is suitable for a range of applications but people typically use it as a seal on doors, glass panels as well as enclosures. This is largely due to the elastic properties found in this product. This ensures that it has excellent shape memory, meaning it will hold its original shape even after long use allowing it to withstand thousands of instances of door or window opening and closing without deterioration. This product has a bead diameter of 8mm. The bead refers to the open part of the extrusion that compresses to form the seal when in use. It also has a flange of 20mm. The flange refers to the long base of the extrusion that allows you to fix it to a surface. It is important to ensure you get the correct size P extrusion otherwise it won’t work as effectively. Excellent High Temperature Resistance We manufacture this particular profile with a compound additive in order to increase the temperature range of the seal. This enables our high temperature silicone P extrusion 20mm x 10mm to withstand temperatures up to 270°C and 300°C intermittently. It enables you to use our profile in more thermally demading applications such as enclosures and oven seals. The additive does not effect the other properties or performance of the profile.
