Description The history of the turtle candy is an interesting one. The story goes that it originated in the early 20th century when a candy maker in the South decided to combine some of the region’s favorite flavors into one irresistible treat. The result was a confection that resembled a turtle’s shell, hence the name. Over the years, this treat has become a staple in many candy shops, and our candymakers dip fresh roasted Georgia Pecan halves in our own recipe of buttery, rich caramel creating our uniquely shaped thick Caramel Pecan Turtle Shells. We hand dip our turtles in creamy Milk Chocolate or smooth Dark Chocolate and sell them in One Pound and Half Pound Boxes. There are approximately 15 Turtles in a Half Pound Gift Box.
